There are four categories in the Teams division. Teams select their own music and assemble a medley. Teams must have a minimum of 3 dancers but not more than 10. Age Divisions are 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. The age of the team is determined by the age of the youngest team member as of December 31, 2026.  In Teams, synchronization, musicality, and formation changes are all of importance.

Team Line Dance Classic Country must use 100% country music and 100%  line dance moves. In Classic Line Dance competition, dancers are evenly spaced in lines.  Classic Country rules are quite strict and do not allow any floor work or acrobatics.

Team Line Open can use any music, 100% line dance, and may use props.

Team Cabaret can use any music, any combination of line and/or couples dancing, has more relaxed movement limitations and may use props.

Team International is for demonstration of dancing indigenous to a country. There are no costume, music, or movement limitations.

Judging criteria is posted on the Oklahoma Senior Games website: OKSeniorGames.com

2026 IS a qualifying year to participate in the 2027 National Senior Games in TULSA.

ALL OKLAHOMA RESIDENTS who PARTICIPATE in an event in the 2026 Oklahoma Senior Games automatically qualify to participate in that event at the 2027 National Senior Games in TULSA

June 30 – July 11 if that event is offered.

Line Dance is a OPEN sport at nationals.  Athletes do not need to qualify to compete in this sport.

Participation in state senior games gives your team the opportunity to compete in preparation for nationals.

(except pickleball players who must earn an Oklahoma 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in their event—because of the limited court capacity)
