3 vs.3 Half Court Games:  9:00 am

TEAM FEE

$200 until two weeks prior to the event.

This allows for ALL team players to participate in the Basketball Shooting competition FREE on Friday at

ENTRY REGULATIONS

  1. Teams must be of all one gender. There are separate tournaments for each gender.
  2. Team rosters shall be limited to 10 athletes.
  3. Age divisions for all team competitions will be determined by the age of the youngest team

member.

FORMAT FOR 3 VS. 3

  1. If numbers are conducive, teams will be divided into pools within their age divisions.
  2. Within each pool a single round-robin tournament will be played.
  3. At the conclusion of the round robin, winners will advance and play a single-elimination tournament if necessary or desired and time permits.
  4. Ties for pool play will be broken in the following manner:
  5. Overall record
  6. Head-to-head competition
  7. Point differential against common opponents – a maximum of 21 points will be awarded towards point

    differential regardless of final score.

  1. Point differential against all opponents
  2. Least points allowed (total points allowed against opponents)
  3. Coin toss
  4. Forfeits shall be scored 21-0.
  5. The Event Director reserves the right to modify format based on the number of teams.
  6. Teams are guaranteed three games.
  7. Competition balls will be provided.
  8. Home and visitor teams will be determined by the order teams are listed on the schedule. The first team listed is the home team, the second team listed is the visiting team.

This tournament will be conducted in accordance with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules, except as modified herein. For a copy of these rules, please write or call:

  1. Teams must have a minimum of three players on the floor to start a game. Teams may continue/finish with a minimum of two players on the floor.
  2. The game shall be played on half court by two teams of three players each, with a maximum of seven substitutes.
  3. The winner of the coin toss shall take first possession of the ball. Possession at the start of the second half shall be determined by the possession arrow. Ball possession changes hands after each basket unless a technical or personal foul is awarded.
  4. Officials do not put the ball in play, except at the start of each half. The referee will handle the rebound of the first free throw (first and second free throws if three shots are being taken) and then will not handle the ball after the last free throw.

Medal winners

  1. All first, second, and third place teams at the 2025 Oklahoma Senior Games in each gender and age division receive medals.
  2. The age division for competition for teams will be determined by the age of the youngest member as of December 31, 2025.
  3. Age divisions at nationals are 50+, 55+, 60+,65+,70+, 75+,80+ and all 85+ teams who participate qualify.
  4. Teams must be of all the same gender.
  5. Team rosters shall be limited to ten people, including non-playing coaches, non-playing captains and non-playing bench personnel. Teams are no longer limited to the number of out-of-state players on their rosters; however, roster changes shall be allowed only as permitted under Rule F.  It is the captain’s responsibility to declare team residency at the time of registration.
  6. All registration and team rules apply to non-playing coaches, non-playing captains and non-playing bench personnel.
  7. Oklahoma is an “Open” state.This means the Oklahoma Senior Games allows participation by out-of-state athletes.

 

All game ties will be broken using the following procedure:

  1. Head to head competition
  2. Point differential against teams in the tie allowing a 21 point max
  3. Point differential against all opponents
  4. Least points allowed
  5. The tie will remain a tie and both teams will be awarded the same medal.
