TSET Grant for the Oklahoma Senior Games to offer FREE training to athletes

Oklahoma Senior Games has received a 3-year grant from TSET (Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust), to coach senior adults ages 50 and over in lifetime sports skills. This is training provided to athletes at no cost. The only obligation to the athlete is they are required to attend at least 80% of the sessions, and take a quick arm, leg, and abdominal strength test in addition to a balance test before the first and after your last session. We also request that you practice between training sessions. If you accept this FREE training, you will also be asked to register for the Oklahoma Senior Games in 2024. The games take place from late August through the first week in November all across Oklahoma.

Basketball, 5K & 10K Road Races, 5K & 1500 meter Power Walk, 1 Mile Run, Table Tennis, Badminton, Pickleball, Tennis, Duathon, Triathlon, Aquabike, Beach Volleyball, Power Lifting, and Dragon Boat racing.

This is an amazing opportunity for Senior Adults to learn a lifetime sport. Coaches teach skills and give encouragement through the learning process. They prepare athletes mentally and physically for Oklahoma Senior Games Competition. Please note there is a minimum requirement of at least 5 people per training session.
