5K ROAD RACE 2026

In conjunction with the Cherokee National Holiday Veteran 5K

 

Race will begin at the Cherokee Nation War Memorial 17675 S. Muskogee Ave. Tahlequah, OK

 

5K Starts at 7:30 a.m.

 

Kick off your day at the Cherokee Nation War Memorial (17675 S. Muskogee Ave., Tahlequah, OK) as we come together to honor our veterans and celebrate community.

 

Race day registration and packet pick-up is at 6:00 a.m.

Please Note: Packet pick up will end approximately at 7:25 a.m.

 

  1. The event is more than a 5K Run.  It honors United States veterans.
  1. Your number must be visible at all times.
  2. Read the complete race information on the OSG website: com under Events and then the specific race.
  3. Register on the Oklahoma Senior Games.com website. DO NOT register on the actual race website.
  4. All athletes who complete this 5K qualify to participate in the 5K and the 10 K at the 2027 National Senior Games presented by Humana in 2027 in Tulsa.
  1. There is Team Triathlon as an event at the 2027 National Senior Games presented by Humana.
  2. Find a swimmer and a cyclist to team up with and enter this event.  This will give you more bang for your training buck.  Let me know if you need assistance finding teammates.  This is the easiest way to win a national medal.    fitzgerald@OKSeniorGames.com, 727.776.1877

2026 is a qualifying year to participate in the 2027 National Senior Games presented by Humana in Tulsa, OK.

All Oklahoma residents who participate in select events at the 2026 Oklahoma Senior Games automatically qualify toparticipate in that event at the 2027 National Senior Games presented by Humana. Please see the rule below for details.

HOST STATE QUALIFICATION: All in-state athletes who compete in designated qualifying sports at the 2026 Oklahoma Senior Games will qualify for the 2027 National Senior Games. Host State Qualification applies to the following qualifyingsports at the 2026 Oklahoma Senior Games: Archery, Badminton, 3-on-3 Basketball, Bowling, Cycling, Golf, Road Race, Shuffleboard, Softball, Table Tennis, Tennis, Track & Field, Triathlon, Volleyball. An in-state athlete is defined as an athlete who resides in Oklahoma for at least six months of the year.

In-state status will be determined by the athlete’s address on file with NSGA.
